Landslides

The historical data in Quebec shows that there has been no significant increase in the number of landslide episodes in the province.

Recent studies are in agreement that most types of land movement are directly linked to weather or climate, particularly precipitation and coastal erosion. However, there is not enough data to determine to what extent the variation in the number of landslides is dependent on climate change or on changes in land use.
