Jean-Philippe Martin is a geographer with 12 years of professional experience in physical geography, climate change and risk management. He completed his Ph.D. in physical geography on the relationship between climate and weather patterns and the occurrence of high intensity avalanches. After a postdoctoral fellowship in paleoclimatology on the reconstruction of river temperatures and flows in the Northwest Territories, Jean-Philippe was a consultant and team leader in climate risk and resilience at WSP. He joined Hydro-Québec in 2021. As Sustainability Advisor, he is responsible for the coordination, deployment and evolution of the company's climate change adaptation plan.
