Special Dossier : Social Inequalities and Climate Change
This special dossier looks at social inequalities in the context of climate change in Quebec. It offers an overview of the equity issues that exist and highlights the differentiated effects of a changing climate on populations that are vulnerable or marginalized due to their economic situation, health, gender, location or origins.
Our intention is to contribute to a constructive dialogue on climate equity by highlighting systemic injustices, intersectional inequalities and the most affected geographical areas, as well as equitable and inclusive solutions. By looking at these issues in a cross-disciplinary way, this dossier invites readers to recognize that inequalities and vulnerabilities are key targets in the effort to make our society more resilient.
