Smith, Trevor James (Ouranos, ANG)

Trevor James Smith holds a Master’s degree in Geography, Urbanism and Environmental Studies from Concordia University. In particular, he examined the impact of climate change on Quebec vineyards using climate scenarios and Open Source software.

He has also worked as an environmental research consultant and geographic information systems specialist related to disaster risk management planning in the Eastern Caribbean.

Bourgault, Pascal (Ouranos, ANG)

Pascal Bourgault holds a Master's degree in Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences from McGill University, where he studied sea ice and its impact on ocean circulation in the Arctic. His academic career was punctuated by internships in Rimouski (ISMER-UQAR), Quebec (INRS-ETE), as well as in Germany (FZ Jülich and AWI Bremerhaven).

With Ouranos since 2019, he is part of the team of climate science specialists, where he contributes to the development of climate analysis tools.

Giguère, Michel (Ouranos, ANG)

Michel Giguère holds a Master's degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM). In 1992, he joined the regional modeling group at UQÀM, which worked on the creation and development of the Canadian regional climate model (CRCM).

With Ouranos since 2002, Michel Giguère focuses on the different phases of the production of regional climate simulations within the Climate Science group.

Asselin, Olivier (Ouranos, ANG)

Olivier Asselin holds a PhD in Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences from McGill University. From 2018 to 2020, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (La Jolla, CA) where he studied internal ocean waves generated by atmospheric storms.

Since 2020, Olivier Asselin has been focusing on the impact of land cover change as a Climatology Specialist as part of the Support for INFO-Crue initiative.

Rondeau-Genesse, Gabriel (Ouranos, ANG)

Holder of a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Hydrology from the University of Sherbrooke, Gabriel Rondeau-Genesse worked as a research e, Gabriel Rondeau-Genesse has been working in the Climate Science and Climate Services group at Ouranos since 2015. He focuses primarily on studying the impact of climate change on hydrology in Quebec and has been actively involved in Ouranos' Support to INFO-Crue.

Lavoie, Juliette (Ouranos, ANG)

Juliette Lavoie holds a Master's degree in Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences from McGill University, where she used the large CESM ensemble to assess the evolution of ocean heat fluxes under the pack ice. In the summer of 2021, she completed a joint internship between Ouranos and Hydro-Québec to help identify multiple adaptation strategies in order to support Hydro-Québec in their approach to adapting to climate change.

Braun, Marco (Ouranos, ANG)

Marco Braun holds a PhD in Physical Geography from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich, Germany. He has worked in the private sector in satellite remote sensing for hydrology applications and as a researcher at LMU. During his post-doctorate at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM), he began his career as an expert in hydrological analyzes of climate model outputs.

With Ouranos since 2008, Marco Braun focuses on all issues related to water and energy resources within the Climate Science group.

Music, Biljana (Ouranos, ANG)

Biljana Music holds a Master's degree in Meteorology from the University of Belgrade and a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM). She worked at the University of Belgrade for nearly ten years, where she taught courses in meteorology and climatology, and researched the physics of clouds and severe weather.

Huard, David (Ouranos, ANG)

David Huard holds a PhD in Water Sciences from INRS-ETE and conducted postdoctoral studies on sea ice modeling at McGill University. He has taught at college and at UQÀM, and has worked as a scientific consultant for various companies, departments and organizations.

With Ouranos since 2009, he conducts climate change studies for issues related to precipitation, hydrology and electricity production.
