Summary of the activity

This training activity defines climate change adaptation and its objective, and explains the benefits of a structured, iterative approach to adaptation. Then, the steps of the adaptation process are discussed:  

  • The conditions for success 

  • Setting up the project team  

  • Establishing the objectives, scope and context of the process 

  • Assessing climate risks 

  • Managing climate risks 

  • Production, monitoring and review

Chantal Quintin
Ouranos

Chantal Quintin holds a Master's degree in Wildlife and Habitat Management from the University of Quebec in Rimouski. Her years of experience as a professional in the research community and within NPOs have allowed her to develop expertise in the promotion of scientific knowledge in order to inspire adaptation in the context of climate change.

Since 2015, Chantal Quintin has collaborated as a consultant on projects of the Maritime Environment program, and since 2020, she has been working within the team of specialists of the Knowledge Mobilization and Training Team.
