Description

This webinar presents the results of a multidisciplinary research project aimed at better informing stakeholders on how to improve communication on climate change adaptation in the current context in Quebec.

Summary

Adaptation to a changing climate is increasingly urgent in Quebec. However, the implementation of such adaptation measures requires the support and mobilization of the population, which are not always forthcoming. For many, climate change remains a psychologically distant issue, where the risks seem more important for others than for themselves. While the effects of climate change are increasingly felt across the country, the COVID-19 pandemic has risen to the top of the political agenda, pushing the climate crisis to the bottom. Effective communication about climate change adaptation then becomes more important than ever.

This webinar will present the results of a multidisciplinary research project aimed at better informing stakeholders on how to improve communication on climate change adaptation in the current context in Quebec.
