Research on urban green infrastructure in Quebec: Implementation and co-benefits
Summary of the presentation
This webinar presents a summary of the progress made as part of a project funded by Ouranos aimed at cataloguing recent work (since 2014) and expertise relating to urban green infrastructure in Quebec. A systematic literature review was conducted to extract the main findings, knowledge gaps, and recommendations. The presentation will include the results of bibliometric analyses and thematic content analyses of this literature. Lastly, we will look back on the participatory workshop with professionals from academia and those working in the field, which took place in December 2025.

Speaker(s)
Françoise Bichai, Eng., PhD., is an associate professor in the Department of Civil, Geological and Mining Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal. Her research program, based on international training (Netherlands, Spain, United States), focuses on the integrated and resilient management of urban water systems and the development of decision support tools for municipalities. The work carried out by her research group aims to support strategic planning for urban water systems, including green infrastructure, by adopting an interdisciplinary approach and involving practitioners in a participatory process.
