Collaborative governance in Outaouais: Living lab-based action research on the co-production of climate change adaptation strategies and administrative leadership

This project is a real-life case study on participatory governance being used in municipal settings to address climate change challenges at a regional scale.  The goal is to have public, community and private organizations and residents coordinate their adaptation efforts.

Nothing about us without us: Implementing climate change adaptation for disability in the Montréal metropolitan area

The goal of this project is to promote the implementation of disability-inclusive climate change adaptation in the Montréal metropolitan area. It also aims to understand the influence of social, institutional, physical and economic barriers on the climate vulnerability of people with disabilities.

Simulation of water temperature at the watershed scale with HYDROTEL and long short-term memory networks (LSTMs)

This project aims to implement a new thermal simulation module in the PHYSITEL-HYDROTEL hydrological platform, as well as an LSTM deep learning model, to simulate the temperature of rivers in southern Quebec for a future edition of the Hydroclimatic Atlas of Southern Québec.

Strengthening local governance in face of climate change: The case study of an online educational initiative developed by the Union des Municipalités du Québec

This case study will generate hard data on the structure and impact of a continuing education initiative for municipal elected officials. The data will be used directly to improve the UMQ’s training offering, as well as other educational initiatives on adaptation for elected officials and municipal employees.

Réglement'action: Reflection on the regulation of industrial zones in the face of climate change and the case of the Pointe-de-l’Île industrial district

Adapting to climate change is an increasingly important concern in land use and urban planning. This raises issues that pose challenges to various parties involved in planning for the revitalization of major industrial zones. This project aims to enrich our knowledge of the regulatory possibilities that can offer solutions in this context.
